The House of Representatives has assured Nigerians of support through legislative policies in the year 2025.

The Speaker of the House, Tajudeen Abbas, said the year 2024 was filled with challenges, but the resilience of the citizens triumphed.

In a New Year message on Wednesday by the House spokesman, Akin Rotimi, Abbas expressed optimism for 2025 and emphasized the need for continued unity and support for leaders at all levels of government.

As a nation, we have many reasons to rejoice, as our Creator has granted us the privilege of witnessing a successful 2024. In the upcoming year 2025, I am hopeful that positive changes will occur.

“Through the concerted efforts of the administration of President Bola Tinubu, I believe we can address most of the current challenges we face as a nation. Let us remain hopeful and united as one people. Together, we will emerge stronger and triumph over our obstacles,” he said.

The House reaffirmed its commitment to prioritizing the welfare of Nigerians guided by the Legislative Agenda (2023–2027).

We will continue to advocate for policies that address the pressing needs of our citizens—focusing on security, economic empowerment, education, healthcare, and social justice.

“Our goal is to ensure that these reforms bring tangible, positive change to all Nigerians, particularly the most vulnerable among us,” he stated.

The Speaker prayed for peace, prosperity, and progress in every Nigerian household.

We stand together with you and remain committed to the promise of a stronger, better Nigeria for all,” he added.
