The Lagos police command has detained an executive director of ARM Pensions, following an accusation of rape by a female employee

Benjamin Hundeyin, Lagos police spokesperson, confirmed the arrest to TheCable on Thursday.

The incident came to light when the female employee reported the executive director to the management of ARM Pensions Managers Limited, demanding his arrest.

According to the employee, the director had offered to drive her home after a team bonding event in Lagos. However, she claimed she woke up in a hotel room instead, with her clothes scattered and her private parts bruised and sore.

The employee stated that she did not consent to being with the director and that her last memory from the night was being at the event.

In a statement released on Thursday, ARM expressed deep concern over the allegations and assured that the matter is being handled with utmost seriousness and sensitivity.

The company has placed the executive director on administrative leave and is fully cooperating with law enforcement to ensure a thorough and impartial investigation.

Hundeyin confirmed that the accused executive is in police custody and that investigations are ongoing.
