In a surprising turn of events, actress Halima Abubakar has publicly apologized to Apostle Johnson Suleiman for defaming him in a series of social media posts.

This apology comes six months after a Federal Capital Territory High Court ordered her to pay N10 million in damages for her derogatory remarks against the cleric.

In her heartfelt letter, Halima acknowledged the “falsehoods and lies” she disseminated, expressing regret for the pain her allegations caused to Suleiman and his family. “I admit that I made false allegations against you; I regret my actions and the damage I caused,” she stated.

Recall that the actress had previously accused Suleiman of being a womanizer and engaging in diabolical practices, claims that led to the legal action. In her letter, she emphasized her remorse, stating, “I have realized the depth of the harm, pain, and distress caused by my lies.”
