The body governing football in Africa, CAF have completed the draw ahead of the 13th edition of the TotalEnergies Women Africa Cup of Nations.
The Women’s Africa Cup of Nations will see 12 teams compete in the most lucrative competition for women. The countries were placed in four different levels based on their FIFA rankings, this ensures a balanced initial distribution of teams for the tournament.
Here is a breakdown of the levels;
Level 1: Morocco (host), Nigeria, South Africa
Level 2: Zambia, Ghana, Tunisia
Level 3: Mali, Senegal, Algeria
Level 4: DR Congo, Tanzania, Botswana
The 12 teams were divided into three groups with four teams placed into each group. The top two teams from the group will qualify for the quarter-finals while the best two losers will complete the list of eight teams.

The 13th edition of the Total Energies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations will take place from July 5 to July 26, 2025, in Morocco.
