Raheem Sterling’s decision may surprise some, given that Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are often celebrated as the greatest footballers in the history of the sport, routinely breaking records and winning numerous titles throughout their careers.

Ronaldinho, who now at 44 years old is celebrated for his dazzling skills and joyful approach to the game, had a remarkable career himself, playing for some of the world’s most prestigious clubs, including Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.

During his time at Barcelona, Ronaldinho made a significant impact, appearing in 207 matches across all competitions and netting 94 goals while also providing 71 assists, showcasing his playmaking abilities.

In addition to Ronaldinho, Sterling also named Neymar, another iconic figure from Barcelona’s rich history, as his second favourite footballer. He placed Messi in the third position on his list, followed by Brazilian striker Ronaldo Nazario, known for his incredible goal-scoring prowess, in fourth place.

Cristiano Ronaldo, known for his exceptional athleticism and numerous accolades, rounded out Sterling’s list in fifth place.
