Just after a month, Nigerians revolted against the appointment of BBN season 5 housemate Nengi Hampson as the face of Girl Child Bayelsa State, the Governor of the state, Duoye Diri has done the needful by stripping her off this position.
Nengi Hampson has now been replaced with Blessing Ebizi Eradiri, a double first-class graduate of Law in acknowledgment and honor of her educational performance.
Blessing who hails from Bayelsa State did not only graduate with a first-class in her Undergraduate studies at the Niger Delta University (NDU), she is the only first-class to graduate from the Niger Delta University with a cumulative grade point average of 4.75 on a 5-point scale and also, she graduated from the Nigerian Law School, Lagos with a first-class.
To this effect, the Governor of the State, Duoye Diri has taken a U-turn in his decision and hence announced the replacement on the 11th of January 2021.
The replacement came after many Nigerians including Media personality, Charlie Boy faulted Nengi’s appointment as the face of girl child Bayelsa State.
Asides from being appointed as the New Face of Bayelsa, Blessing is also entitled to some other juicy incentives like A fully funded scholarship to any University of her choice in the world for her Ph.D. studies and automatic employment as a Lecturer at the Niger Delta University (NDU) Faculty of Law amongst many others.
However, Governor Diri kicked against the politics involved in Nengi’s appointment and he renewed his continual support and promise of contributing towards the Educational system of Bayelsa State.
