Arsenal have reportedly entered the competition to sign Super Eagles forward, Ademola Lookman from Atalanta.

According to Football Italia, the Gunners are willing to make a €50 million offer, potentially involving Jakub Kiwior as part of the deal that will bring Ademola Lookman to the Emirates Stadium.

Lookman has attracted interest from Paris Saint-Germain in recent weeks, but it seems that the Ligue 1 champions’ enthusiasm has waned.

The talented Super Eagles winger featured against Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup last Wednesday but requested to be omitted from Atalanta’s Serie A opener against Lecce on Monday.

Furthermore, Lookman was absent from training on Wednesday, with Sport Italia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà suggesting that his absence is due to his refusal to continue playing for the club.

Reports indicate that Arsenal have put forth a bid of €50 million plus bonuses, with the possibility of including Kiwior in the deal to potentially reduce the fee, or even offering him on loan with an option to buy.

Despite Arsenal’s interest, Atalanta remains keen on retaining the 26-year-old Nigerian forward and is willing to double his current wages.

Lookman’s impressive record of 17 goals and 10 assists in 45 matches last season adds to his value.

Meanwhile, Napoli have arranged a meeting with Chelsea for Thursday to negotiate a deal for Romelu Lukaku in person.

The Serie A club submitted an official bid for Lukaku on Monday, but reports from football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano indicate that the offer was not accepted.

Nevertheless, discussions are ongoing, and there is optimism on both sides that an agreement will be reached.

Both clubs are aiming to finalize the transfer for Lukaku before addressing the potential departure of Victor Osimhen from Napoli.

Romano shared on X: “Napoli will meet Chelsea today in London as they want to get the Romelu Lukaku deal done even before finding a solution to sell Victor Osimhen. An official bid was submitted on Monday, it was not accepted, but discussions are ongoing with terms and conditions… as Napoli aims to get it done.”
