Al Nassr forward Cristiano Ronaldo has read out his thoughts on this year’s UEFA Champions League, predicting that Real Madrid will win the title this season.

Real Madrid, the reigning champions of the tournament, secured their title last season by defeating Borussia Dortmund in a thrilling final.

However, this season has proven to be quite challenging for Carlo Ancelotti’s squad in European competition, as they have managed to accumulate only nine points from their six matches in the group stage.

This puts Los Blancos in a precarious position, currently sitting at the bottom of their group and trailing by four points from an automatic qualification spot for the knockout phase.

Ronaldo noted that despite the club’s struggles, their situation may not be as dire as many believe. “It’s like Madrid; people don’t expect that they’ve been so brilliant in the beginning, but they are not too bad,” he explained. “They are currently two points ahead of Barcelona in the league, yet some claim it’s a bad season for them. I don’t quite understand why such remarks are made.”

The legendary forward acknowledged that every team experiences tough moments throughout a season, but history shows that Real Madrid has an impressive ability to bounce back from adversity. “Every player and every team has their ups and downs, but Madrid has always shown resilience. They come back stronger,” Ronaldo commented.

He added, “If I had to place a bet on who would win the Champions League again, I would put my money on Real Madrid. You never know what surprises the tournament could bring.”
