Argentine football icon, Lionel Messi, achieved a remarkable milestone by becoming Inter Miami’s all-time leading scorer.

Lionel Messi, who is now 37 years old, delivered an electrifying performance by netting a stunning hat-trick in just 11 minutes, leading his team to a decisive 6-2 victory over the New England Revolution at Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Messi’s incredible three-goal outing secured the win and contributed to Inter Miami surpassing the MLS record for the most points earned in a single season. With a final tally of 74 points accrued over 34 matches, they held an impressive record of 22 wins, 4 losses, and 8 draws. This performance allowed them to narrowly eclipse the previous record set by the Revolution in 2021, which stood at 73 points.

The match featured a thrilling turn of events, as Miami initially found themselves trailing by two goals. However, a spirited comeback was sparked by fellow superstar Luis Suarez, who scored twice to bring the score to 2-2.

Just as the momentum shifted, Messi stepped onto the field and made an immediate impact. Within a minute of his introduction, he assisted Benjamin Cremaschi, who scored to give Miami a 3-2 lead—this marked the first time Miami was ahead in the match.

Messi then completed his hat-trick, marking the first time he scored three goals in a match for Inter Miami. This elevated him to the status of the club’s all-time leading scorer with an impressive total of 33 goals.
