So in the recently concluded US presidential inauguration, you will agree with me that several persons stole the spotlight for the day. Like Michelle Obama who came out elegant with her Sergio Hudson outfit and Amanda Gorman who wowed the world with her poem, The Hill We Climb.
In the same vein, some persons were met with heavy criticism by the public. I bet you can guess the hottest among them…Senator Bernie Sanders! ?
With his now so famous mittens and pose, coupled with the social distancing, the senator appeared to be on some casual outing rather than at a presidential inauguration.
Since the inauguration, that single photo of the senator has gone viral, converted to different funny memes. He’s been depicted taking a selfie, stranded in the snow, watching a game, seated with some teenagers among other hilarious memes.
But the amazing thing here is, what people were using for laughs is the exact thing the senator is now using to his advantage. How, abi?
You see, having the market already, Sander’s campaign store decided to produce sweatshirts with the phenomenal photo on them. And guess what? The sweatshirts sold out completely! And for a whopping $45! Wahala for who no fit order im ‘smitten mitten’ sweatshirt o!
And the proceeds? All channeled to Age Well, the largest provider of Meals on Wheels, a charity program in the Senator’s hometown of Vermont. The charity said on Twitter that they are “BLOWN AWAY by the support for our Meals on Wheels program". You people should hold them o! ?
