Jamaican sprint legend Usain Bolt has expressed optimism about Manchester United’s chances of winning the Premier League title this season.
As a dedicated supporter of the Red Devils, Bolt made this statement after United secured a commendable 2-2 draw against Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.
Despite facing a challenging backdrop—having lost four consecutive matches before the game—Manchester United put forth a resilient performance.
Liverpool entered the match on a high note, with four straight wins, heightening expectations for their victory. However, United’s display at Anfield showcased their determination and grit, qualities many fans have been eager to see.
The match saw defender Lisandro Martinez scoring the opening goal with a powerful strike early in the second half, igniting hope among United supporters.
Although Liverpool quickly equalized through Cody Gakpo and then took the lead with a penalty from Mohamed Salah, United demonstrated their tenacity. They fought back to level the score with Amad Diallo’s goal in the 80th minute.
Usain Bolt shared his thoughts on United’s performance, noting that if the team continues to exhibit such fighting spirit in every match, they have a solid chance at claiming the league title. “If we can play with this fight in every game, Manchester United will win the league,” Bolt said as reported by Sportskeeda.
Note that Manchester United are currently sitting in the 13th spot on the league table with 23 points in 20 games.
