WHO has announced a new virus outbreak in China. This comes after videos of numerous sick people could be seen at an hospital in China.
Rumours had it that the virus can be likened to Corona Virus, which broke out about 4 years ago
The World Health Organization, WHO has made an urgent announcement, following rumours of a strange illness in China.
A video making rounds online of numerous sick people waiting in like in an hospital to be attended to in China.
The video sparked mixed reactions, as people begin to fear the return of the dreaded Corona Virus.
In recent updates, WHO’s Director-General, Tedros Ghebreyesus, during a press release declared the virus as a new branch of COVID-19.
The main reason for this declaration is not because of what is happening in China, but because of what is happening in other countries,” Tedros said at the press conference.
“Our greatest concern is the potential for the virus to spread to countries with weaker health systems and which are ill-prepared to deal with it. Let me be clear, this declaration is not a vote of no confidence in China. On the contrary, WHO continues to have confidence in China’s capacity to control the outbreak.”
